As the regional president for The Calara Group, Derek oversees the teams responsible for acquiring and developing homesites for the company.
Derek got his start with the Rausch organization in 2017 as a construction manager on the land team for Rausch Coleman Homes. He quickly worked his way up to regional president, responsible for developing and negotiating over 12,000 residential homesites and many commercial and multifamily tracts.
Prior to this role, Derek worked as an oil and gas landman, acquiring sites for well drilling operations. Derek holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma.
In his free time, Derek enjoys hunting and attending soccer games for his daughters, Klare and Karlee. He’s married to his high school sweetheart, Misty, and enjoys spending time with his family and blue heeler dog, Blue.
